ThrustEMS stands for "Electrical Maneuvering System" and bundles the electrical manoeuvring technology of Elprom EMS JSC. The company develops and manufactures DC propulsion motors, bow and stern thrusters (tunnels), control systems and peripherals - with a focus on long running times, variable thrust and compact integration, including for joystick control systems. The EMS Standard and EMS Performance product lines address leisure and commercial applications; core components are motors, gear units, propellers, solenoids, anodes and control panels. A technical highlight is the company's own six-bladed "skewback" propeller design made from DuPont™ Delrin®, which reduces vibrations and increases the service life of the gear sets. According to Elprom, it has produced over 100,000 DC motors for marine applications; the experience gained from more than five decades of motor construction has been channelled into the thruster generation.
