Impeller Volvo Penta 3862567
Impeller 500207
This impeller generates the flow rate of the raw water pump for engine cooling.
It runs in the pump housing on the drive shaft. Hardened, torn or broken blades reduce the cooling capacity and increase the risk of overheating.
Component classification: Impeller / pump impeller of the raw water pump
System function: Pumping the raw water in the cooling water circuit
Compatible manufacturers: Volvo Penta / OMC / Johnson
Compatible models: D2-55 A, B, C, D, E, D2-75 A, F, MD22A, L-A, TMD22A, Impulsor con casquillo estriado

FAQ
What exactly is the task / function of the component?
The impeller generates the flow for engine cooling in the raw water pump and is therefore a central wearing part of the cooling system. Elasticity, blade geometry and a suitable fit on the shaft are crucial.
How can you recognize a defect / typical symptoms?
Typical symptoms are overheating, weak control jet, reduced cooling water throughput or missing impeller sections in the pump housing. After dry running or a long service life, the vanes often harden permanently.
How do you check / test the component?
The blades are checked for cracks, settling and chipping as well as the hub, feather key and signs of wear in the pump housing. The cover plate and housing channel must also be checked for scoring and shrinkage.
When should it be replaced?
The impeller should be replaced preventively at the usual maintenance intervals, especially before an intensive season or after dry running. In the event of overheating, blade breakage or hardening, it must be replaced immediately.
How do you check compatibility?
The OEM number, outer diameter, width, number of blades, hub shape, shaft mount and key, if applicable, must be compared. Even minor dimensional deviations can affect the pumping capacity and service life.
