Volvo Penta bellows: Protection and sealing for Z-drives
Bellows are safety-relevant wear parts in the Volvo Penta sterndrive. They seal moving transitions between the drive and transom plate and prevent water from entering the boat or sensitive drive components. An intact seal protects against corrosion, bearing and cardan damage as well as cost-intensive follow-up repairs.
Drive type as the primary selection criterion
The fit of a bellows depends directly on the drive type. Common variants are SX, DP-S, DPS, DPX and older 280/290 drives.
