THE GEN II STUFFING BOX IS EQUIPPED WITH AN AISI-316 STAINLESS STEEL SPRING THAT EXERTS A CONSTANT PRESSURE ON THE SEALING SURFACES. TO COMPENSATE FOR SLIGHT MISALIGNMENTS, THE SEALING RING IS MOUNTED ON THE SHAFT AND IS IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH THE SURFACE OF THE GRAPHITE SEAL, PREVENTING THE FLOW OF WATER. AS THERE IS NO METAL-TO-METAL CONTACT, ANY POSSIBILITY OF ELECTROLYSIS IS ELIMINATED.
