Wear and maintenance of impellers
Impellers are usually made of rubber or similar elastic materials. Heat, dry running or dirt particles can cause the blades to wear, tear or break off over time.
A damaged impeller can result in too little cooling water flowing through the engine. This increases the engine temperature and, in the worst case, can lead to serious engine damage.

Impeller as a maintenance part
