Mercury Order original parts using the original part number and serial number range
Original part numbers can be replaced or merged during product maintenance. Therefore, a current successor number does not automatically mean a different part. To ensure correct ordering, the existing number, the serial number range, and the specific assembly group are checked together.
Have ready for safe selection
- complete Mercury- or Quicksilver-Number
- Engine, drive or transom serial number
- Installation position and required quantity
- Indications of a supersession or changed scope of delivery
Check original part number, successor and scope of delivery
A supersession can reflect design improvements or a new packaging unit. For kits, it must be checked whether gaskets, screws, or additional parts are included. For Alpha, Bravo, and outboard components, it must also be ensured that the serial number matches the specified application.
Practical advice: Don't discard old numbers too hastily; they are often the best starting point for determining the current original number.
