The cable serves as a replacement for systems with Mercury Gen I or 600A control cable geometry and transmits the operating movement from the shift lever to the engine or drive.

Suitable for the following models:

• Mercury, Mariner and MerCruiser remote shifters with Gen-I cable type
• Many Mercury and Mariner applications from 1965 onwards
• Not for certain older Mercury and Mariner models up to 40 hp before 1993 without matching Gen-I control box
