Alternators for Mercury and Mariner outboard engines

The alternator of an outboard engine generates electrical energy while the engine is running. It is driven by the engine and converts mechanical energy into electrical voltage. The energy generated charges the battery and supplies electrical consumers on board.

Components of the charging system

Differences between alternator and stator
