Honda 35-60 hp propellers

This category contains propellers for Honda outboard engines in the power range from 35 hp to 60 hp. The propellers are mounted directly on the propeller shaft and transfer the engine power to the water.

Compatible Honda outboards

Propellers in this category are suitable for the following engines:

  • Honda BF35 (1991-1994)

  • Honda BF40 (from 1995)

  • Honda BF40A / BF40D

  • Honda BF45 (1991-1994)

  • Honda BF50 / BF50A (from 1995)

  • Honda BF60 / BF60A (from 2010)

All models mentioned use a propeller shaft with 13 teeth (13-spline).

Technical features

Typical propeller characteristics:

  • 13-spline propeller mount

  • Single propeller (single prop)

  • thru-hub exhaust

  • Rubber bushing in the hub for shock absorption

  • Aluminum or stainless steel design

  • Standard right-hand rotation (RH)

The rubber bush in the stroke protects the gearbox and propeller shaft in the event of grounding or abrupt load changes.

Typical propeller sizes

Propellers for Honda 35-60 hp outboards are typically in the range:

  • Diameter: approx. 10 ½″ - 12 ¼″

  • Pitch: approx. 9″ - 17″

  • Number of blades: 3 or 4

Examples of common sizes are 11 ¼″ × 13″ or 11 ⅛″ × 13″, depending on the type of boat and engine power.

Selecting the correct pitch

The pitch influences speed and handling:

  • low pitch (9″-11″) → higher acceleration

  • Medium incline (12″-13″) → all-round use

  • high pitch (14″-17″) → higher top speed

The final choice of propeller depends on the type of boat, load and the recommended engine speed range.
